Background: Located near Manistique, Kitch-iti-kipi is Michigan’s largest natural freshwater spring. It’s 40 feet deep and 200 feet across; and 10,000 gallons of water per minute erupt from fissures in the limestone rocks that form the spring’s floor. The Ojibwe name means “Mirror of Heaven”. I hear the voice of Kitch-iti-Kipi as a bubbling uprising of energy coming from deep in the earth under the springs.
Kitch: What fun, I’ve never talked with a human before though I’ve listened to thousands! It’s many years now since you’ve visited, but I remember your energy clearly.
Peggy: Thank you! What would you like to talk about today?
Kitch: I was formed when an underground cave collapsed, thousands of years ago. The pleasant pond that humans see is a tiny fraction of my vast “area of influence” throughout surrounding land and water and deep into the rocky layers below. My “beingness” or personality is an amalgamation of those energies of earth, water, and air; and so is the voice I speak with. You might say that I exist in The Great Between that separates reality from spirit.
Peggy: Do you control, lead or guide your area of influence in any way?
Kitch: An occasional nudge here or there, nothing more. Earth, water and air all have their own consciousness and ways of doing things.
Peggy: I’d like to ask about the Brook, Brown and Lake trout who seem to be your constant companions. Why that particular kind of fish?
Kitch: They’re designed for cold water, which contains lots of oxygen; and they enjoy the peace and quiet of my depths. They and other animals come here to meditate and hold a space for the Earth, to address conflicts, disagreements and major decisions among their kind, and to call on my sacred energies for healing body and mind. My formation is a powerful vortex with an energy signature that transcends space and time. My vortex also supports time travel, but only when a request is based in benevolent intentions.
Peggy: Do people from other worlds come to visit you?
Kitch: Yes, of course. My energetic signature can be perceived at great distances. Again, only benevolent beings are welcomed.
Peggy: What would happen if warlike beings wanted to visit you?
Kitch: There are protections in place to frustrate their efforts.
Peggy: Do any of them camp around you?
Kitch: Some do, but most humans wouldn’t be able to perceive them.
Peggy: What else would you like to say today?
Kitch: All who are reading these words are welcome to visit and meditate/connect with all that I offer.
